MAGIC 98.3 looking for a new morning guy......again?

There's an ad on allaccess about how they've lost their morning guy and are looking for his replacement. What happened to O'Brien? I hope he went on to bigger and better things. His stint didn't last that long. ABout the same length as the previous host, Mike Manion.

Randy Davis was filling in this morning... in my opinion, he'd be perfect to fill Steve O'Brien's shoes. He sounded natural, and I'm pretty sure this was Mr. Davis's first appearance on WMGQ. I certainly hope that he's a front runner for the new morning host. He deserves it. He did well at CBS-FM and at Mix 102-7, so why not give him a shot at Magic?

But back to my original question. Where is Steve going? I figured he had "retired to WMGQ". You know, kinda ride out the last ten years or so of his career in Central Jersey. But leaving after only about a year and a half? To something better, I suppose? Anyone know what?

No answer for you Corky, but I'd hate to see SOB go. He's my morning pre-set, and demonstrates personality on the radio.

MGQ needs to spice it up a bit, in my opinion. I just can't listen to it after mornings.

steve o brien was on magic this week but this is his last week he is takeing the summer off to take care of some personal issues he said he may or may not come back he doesent know that yet

Thanks for the update. Gee, I hope it's not too serious for him. But imagine the disappointment of his replacement if O'Brien decides he does want to return to WMGQ. I mean, the station was running ads nationally for the position.
