MAGIC BREAKING NEWS!

Magic 107 is changing formats. Effective at 5 p.m., Magic 107 will transmit Traditional Catholic Radio. The Latin Mass, the Monastic office, sermons, teachings and more! Check it out today!

There is no way that would happen since Magic 107.7 own by Clear Channel Radio. You should have think of a better April Fool's joke like a flip with other Clear Channel Radio flip like AC to Hot AC with Elivs Duran and The Morining Show to Orlando. or Top40 CHR

APRIL FOOOOOOOLS!

I have it on good authority that every Orlando radio station is simultaneously changing format at 9:00 PM to gypsy dance interspersed with All Wayne Newton, All The Time.

Wow, sure hope you are proud of yourselves. I've recently noticed one thing about WMGF that doesn't seem to be a joke. A show that's been on there since before I moved down here in 1994 is no more. That's their Christian music show, Magics Joy Of Glory on Sunday mornings.

Format adjustments, changes, features added and dropped are a natual progression and are an inevitable part of the overall radio landscape. I'm sure Clear Channel has its reasons for dropping the Christian music show in question, assuming it was dropped. It may have been something as simple as the program was not available this past weekend and will be back on the air at its regularly scheduled time next Sunday.

"Glory of Joy" was the Sunday morning show dating from there days as "Joy 108". I wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed dropped.

Didn't there used to be a Christian station in Orlando on 95.3 at one point before "95.3 Party"?

WTLN was originally on that frequency. it was a religious teaching station. Read more on the history of the frequency at http://cflradio.net/95.3_WTLN_FM.htm.

As for "Joy 108" WJYO, that was what WORJ-FM "Zeta 7" became after the sale from Sudbrink Broadcasting to Metroplex in 1981. http://cflradio.net/107.7_WJYO_FM.htm. The format was Soft Adult Contemporary. never a full time Christian Contemporary format.

I cover the histories of all Central Florida Stations at http://cflradio.net/default.htm

Glory of Joy was not dropped, only cut back to two hours, 7-9am.
