Magic Broadcasting's Earl Durden died

Thank you for the link Ricky.
I hope that the family is able to celebrate the life of Mr. Durden with much joy even during this time of grief.
I wish peace and comfort to all that are associated with Mr. Durden.

Only met Mr Durden Sr once but came away impressed with the man and his legacy. My heart goes out to Michael and the family. A very classy guy.

I echo what Rick said... only met him once but he seemed like one of the good ones. I am sure his reputation in the railroad business was quite different than the one painted by many folks on the radio boards. From our conversation with him at lunch, it was clear that he never wanted to be in the radio business. He got in to help a friend and to possibly make a little money. Surely, you can't fault a guy for that. He was very sharp and asked the right questions of me. My regret is that I didn't deliver what I told him I would do. He surrounded himself with some (belive it or not) very talented people who were extremely loyal and appreciative of him. His family and extended family are in my prayers.
