Magic Johnson

He's a regular commentator on ESPN's/ABC's NBA coverage. Not to mention, his much maligned talk show was from the mid 90s, so he hasn't really left the public eye since his retirement from basketball.

Also, if you're in Los Angeles, you could pass one of his movie theatres or the 24 Hour Fitness Magic Johnson Sports locations almost daily.

So you've forgotten about the late-night success that was "The Magic Hour" too, huh? ::)

Comcast is starting this network as part of its agreement with the government to purchase 51% of NBC, not for any competitive reasons.

It's a shake down of the FCC. They are also forcing Comcast to provide more channels for "disadvantaged minorities". I give them all about a year before they are gone.

I understand that, but even still...from the description of this new network, the programming wouldn't be any different from what TV One, Centric, or even Bounce TV currently provides. I would personally like to see a channel dedicated to independent films featuring blacks and other cultures, something more or less Starz in Black use to show.
