Magic Matt Alan Rumor?

R

Heard Magic Matt Alan on his Saturday Night Internet Show "Outlaw Radio" say something about a upcoming morning gig in LA. He didn't say what station or when. He already does mornings on Sirius 70s Channel but it's voice tracked. Anyone know details or is it just talk?

Although no one thinks sat radio will kill terrestrial anymore, isn't it funny that people used to think our use of voicetracking, less local content, etc. would be due to a medium with voicetracking and no local content.

You can use plenty of local content in voice tracking on stations other than satellite which is going for an wider audience. That being said, you didn't answer my original question.

The point was that satellite is, at best, no better than terrestrial at the things people complain about on terrestrial. And I have no idea about Mr. Alan.

Actually Satellite radio is superior to terrestrial radio in many ways, but that's a topic for the satellite radio forum.

I just love the fact that I asked if Magic Matt Alan is coming back to LA radio, and I get satellite radio comments and then nothing! DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW? Hello?

The question really is, does anyone even care? I think all you'll get is the sound of crickets on this topic.

Not a Magic Matt fan huh? Then why bother posting? Take a suggestion and move on to the next topic.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Never said anything about being a fan, or not. My point is, no one seems to care. He wasn't on the air in LA that long unless you count syndication of a niche show and it doesn't seem that there are many who know who he is. He had what, about two years at KIIS and a year or less at KFI in 83 or 84, so his recognition factor may be low with board participants. But yes, I do know him if you're wondering.

I should have taken the original advice and stayed on the East Coast Boards. Much more friendly there!!

So Long!!

Hey, we weren't trying to be hostile, but you did say .. Not a Magic Matt fan huh? Then why bother posting? Take a suggestion and move on to the next topic... and quite frankly that seemed a tad unfriendly, so I merely felt that I needed to explain myself. I've posted on East and Midwest boards and find very little difference from the West Coast boards.
