Magic mornings over

Did anyone listen this morning? It was just Monnie's "producer" fumbling around and goofing up on pronunciation the 2 times he talked between 6-8. A news person (from WORD I guess) did read the temperatures and news. Everything else was music and commercials.

I guess they are looking for a replacement. I'm guessing if it was someone local they would have already started.
 
Anybody know if Entercom is trying to get a morning show for 98.9, or do they plan to go on without one? I see no info or openings, all they have is nights at WFBC. I guess this is the PD's job.....but is the "PD" really capable? Every change he makes at 98.9 makes it sound worse and has almost put the station in the unlistenable category.
 
The intern makes sense.....worked for slick willie!! ;D
 
Oh, they're above an intern! 98.9 has a board-op that has amazing credentials, he worked late nights on WFBC. If that ain't true talent, I don't know what is :D I don't think he's a talker.

It is sad. I guess I'm in the minority, but I liked Magic 98.9 over WMYI and hate to see what they're becoming. Unfortunately, they have been a victim of poor management that has made some very bad decisions, especially as of late. Not gonna go far without a morning show, people.
 
Well there's another 'Bo" set to debut on Magic.
Later this morning Bo McDonald will shuffle over from the B93.7 part time high chair to fill the "pumps" vacated by Monnie whitson.

Once again...the deck chairs continue to rearramged as the iceburg runs into the good ship Magic.
My guess is the feet are already wet over there, either people are pissed or because they are taking on water fast than Liz Taylor.

I've been hearing him doing weekends and fill-ins on Magic since around Christmas, decent. I haven't heard the morning show so I can't judge on that. He has a twitter page. However, "Bo" and "morning" shouldn't be used in the same sentence there, ever again.

Magic has canned the 70s Saturday night and now plays "all 70s, 80s, and 90s"...same stuff they play all the time but I'm failing to see where Daughtry and Natasha Bedingfield fit in to that show.
 
Can't edit my last post, but to add, Bo #2 is just a fill-in. Not the new morning show host.
The producer who was running it is doing nights at 93.7 now I believe.
