Magic or Tragic?

Please, someone call Dr. Kevorkian and have him do a mercy killing on the current version of Magic 96.5. Their ratings have been declining for years, and the most recent trends have them ranked 12th (yes, friends, that's no misprint, 12th) in the market. The problem is, what do they need to do to it to turn it around before it sinks any further?
 
The Peach, Eagle and ALEX FM have better playlists, than Magic. Been listening to them some. I'm not impressed, at all.. I'm with you Mr. Charles35080. I think a change will do them good.

P.S. Wish Y'all FM would return to a full powered stick again. I thought the concept was neat. Enjoyed them, last year, while I was traveling through Hoover.
 
Are the numbers 12+ they might be doing well 25-54, It also depends on billing. I once had a GM tell me in a major market "Yes we are #6, but we are #1 in billing"
 
Birmingham's top biller has long been WZZK, but Magic 96.5 has outbiled its ratings share for years. Magic seems to suffer from the same ailments most of today's AC's are dealing with. It has the challenge of staying young enough to bill well without competing too much with top-40 (in this case its own sister WQEN) while not getting squeezed by a classic hits station.
 
Thanks Kent. I figured the billing was decent. Many people who listen to our station say they listen to Magic and vice versa when they get out of signal range.
