Magical Changes--from "All Access" 2/16

MAGIC BROADCASTING, LLC is selling its five stations in the DOTHAN, AL market to three separate buyers for an undisclosed price.
Country WTVY-F and Top 40 WKMX will go to GULF SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS, which in turn is selling its own Talk WDBT (NEWS TALK 105.3 THE VOICE) and Classic Hits WESP (102.5 THE EAGLE) to SOUTHEAST ALABAMA BROADCASTERS.
SOUTHEAST ALABAMA BROADCASTERS is also buying Rock WJRL (ROCK 104) and Adult Hits WLDA (STAR 100.5) from MAGIC, and MAGIC is selling Urban AC WBBK (MAGIC 93.1) to ALABAMA MEDIA INVESTMENTS, LLC.
MEDIA VENTURE PARTNERS is representing MAGIC in the deals.

Thanks cceng. Dothan Radio predicted perfectly on other thread. Makes sense, Wilson gets BBK, Holladay gets 4 100k's, the new group (run by a female if what you folks say it correct) gets 4 stations and because of gender eliminates the need to appease Mrs. (and/or Ms.) Simpson with 100.5 because the deal as presented actually increases the number of female owners in the market.

WTF

gender, females, need, what does that have to do with any of this?
the FCC doesn't care.
and are you sure Alabama Media Investments, LLC is Wilson?
and not just another Holladay shell company?

And why is it this is posted on All Access, all the employes have been told, yet there is no record of this at the FCC?

Southeast Alabama Broadcasters, LLC = Georgia Edmiston Mary Esther, FL (former part owner of Fort Walton cluster with Holladay)

Alabama Media Investments, LLC = Alisha Kae Cummings Madison, MS (relationship to Holladay, unknown as of yet)

Interesting is the Registered Agent for Southeast Alabama Broadcasters, LLC is Steve McGowan

This just keeps getting better and better

Now known. Information shows an address and family relationship to Gwen (GM) & Bill (GSM) Rackstraw of New South Communications (Holladay).

Will the FCC connect the dots?

This just keeps getting better and better

It does indeed.

For 8 years I've watched the people on this forum poke fun and belittle the 8th floor.
Why do I feel some resentment from "the boards" about Clay and his gang(s) buying out the whole town sans WOOF??

As mentioned on another thread, the Holladays are calling the shots on all of this. They are going to have a monopoly on the market and create eight stations with no competition (as far as formats) between the two new "groups" and their "owners"...ahem..."owner!"

Is WOOF AM/FM a stand alone two station cluster or do they have ties to other radio stations outside of the Dothan metro?
