Maiman Ratings Abysmal

For a historic radio station that nearly everyone in town listens to at least occassionally, this is pathetic. I have a hard time believing KFBK is not concerned.

Maiman is here to stay on KFBK they say! This guy is no match for Gene Burns on KGO most nights. He is too laid back for me and he sounds very dull and lifeless. KFBK should be able to do better than this but, give him a year and maybe he will get the audience to listen.

With the age of the KFBK listeners maybe he should see which of his listeners can sit in their adult diaper the longest. They can win a year's supply of Doan's pills or something.

If Maiman weren't under contract, KFBK should consider getting Eric Hogue from his simulcast in SF and Sac. Politics are his gig more so than the Christian spew.

It's evident the original poster of this thread posted this for political reasons, not radio ones. RadioStarOne, however, understands the radio dynamic, which is all that should matter on a website like this. Further, one has to call into question any recent comments relying on a 3-month-old article. Clearly, the ratings suffered a dramatic drop due to a change in product and had to start from ground zero. The current numbers indicate that an audience may be building. Given time --and that is not a given with broadcast companies-- the on-air product may achieve a satisfactory goal despite those who are hoping it won't.

Well it's been two months and I still would rather listen to Gene Burns on KGO 810! Maiman just can't hold my interest at all! Time for the hook!

If the point of this initial post was to suggest that Mark Williams should return, then I'd rather KFBK air complete silence. I would rather hear NOTHING, rather than a 2-bit radio hack. Maiman is terrible, but at least he doesn't sound trite.
