Maine Man Imprisoned For E-Mail Threats To "All Things Considered" Hosts

Meanwhile, in other NPR news this week...

The Smoking Gun says John Crosby, 38, "sent more than 20 bizarre, and often threatening, messages to NPR via a “Contact Us” form on the organization’s web site. Many of the messages--which were sent during a two-month period ending with Crosby’s arrest--“referenced ‘kikes’ and contained other generalized threats directed toward NPR,” Jacobs noted." He's been held without bail since late January.

This guy is a wacko.

He's just using Steve Martin's criminal-making-them-think-you're-crazy gambit.

Steve Martin said if you hijack a plane, then demand things like ransom, have another plane waiting because that's what you're supposed to do, and then demand to have the letter M stricken from the English alphabet, just to make them think you're crazy.
This guy threatened people by email and demanded ransom. His make-them-think-you're-crazy gambit was doing it to NPR. Then he threw in some stinkeye.
