One, it's a Classic TV board. Two, he's hardly the first person who's posted this sort of thing. Three, this one schedule works for me. I live in Connecticut now but lived in southern Maine at that time. What should be noted is that New England was hit by Hurricane Gloria at the end of that week. Friday, September 27, 1985 was to be the second season premiere of NBC's "Miami Vice". I missed out on the show since I lost power due to the by-then Tropical Storm (luckily my apartment building had no damage). :p

7:30 PM MAGAZINE

I thought the Group-W stations were using the "Evening Magazine" name.

Probably just a typo on the newspaper's part.

I want to add, as one of the most frequent posters of retro
schedules (particularly from North Carolina, Atlanta, and
Louisville) that I have always enjoyed looking at the old
schedules from the rest of the country, to see how they
compared with my neck of the woods. My advice to anyone
who doesn't want to look at them is: don't. I don't read
every single post, but the ones that interest me. And
since retro schedules were on this board before I ever
joined it, I'd be the last person to say they ought to be
stopped (not to mention, as I said, that I'm a frequent
contributor of same).

Yes - WBZ TV was running Silver SPoons from NBC in that slot until the end of September. On September 30, NBC began a new Game Show that would fail and by December Family Ties reruns were inserted into that time slot. In January of 1986, WBZ TV dumped that 10 AM hour on NBC altogether but moved Slae of the Century to 11:30 preempting Scrabble instead. So WBZ TV was only running 3 hours of the NBC schedule in the winter of 1986. WQTV 68 began running all of WBZ TV's preempted shows at the end of December of 1985. At that point WBZ TV was not running Family Ties, Scrabble, Password, Search For Tomorrow, and Another World.
