The MAX is George's baby.. and guess who run's the Louisville Mainline cluster! hmmm, :)

When mainline took over the dayton stations didn't they fire the operations manager and bring in someone else. I have nothing against george but why didn't they bring in fresh blood in louisville? I believe dale schaefer still works for them. Makes no sense.

Its like mainline doesn't care that much about there stations here.

king george = stupid

Mainline isnt completely stupid.

While some people may not agree with King George, he does garner ratings. And thats what matters to Mainline right now. And his products are "sellable".

Dayton was a complete disaster. Its like Radio One was a tornado thats path was David Road. The budgets were a mess, the ratings were terrible. Now, Weed has been cleaning things up, Fly has a lot of potential and things are looking up.

Simply put, Louisville had a lot less wrong with it than Dayton did. Notice what they changed and how quickly they changed it in Dayton? In Louisville, the only station that made much of a change at all was WLRS, and the other stations really never had too big of a problem. When you get an operation that's faring reasonably well, there's not much of a reason to get rid of the OM. Of course, that doesn't mean broadcasters don't make stupid mistakes.

At least i give mainline credit for hiring ben davis for mornings on djx and flipping formats on wlrs something that radio one should have done years ago.

I think the stupiest thing radio one did was killing lrs 102 and then brining them back several months later on 105.1 and there other dumbest mistake was to put the fake lrs on 2 frequencies. So even though the flip on the fake lrs was poorly done at least they made a change but they should still rebrand it and get all new talent. They probably won't since they already have commercials and billboards up. I think as someone mentioned get opie and anthony for the mornings or get adam carolla.

Radio One kinda did that where ever they went. I mean, how can you NOT make money in Los Angeles? Radio One found a way! Look at Louisville's ratings the last book that Blue Chip had them and the same book the next year that Radio One had them.

So true. Radio One has made a mess of radio, hmm, sounds like the folks in San Antonio.

But none the less, Radio One is actually doing things right in Indianapolis, which personally shocks me. But you have to feel alone being the only anglo station that R1 owns.

Give Alfred time. He's too busy cashing his back paychecks.
