as it will now be know as "cavs 105.7" for the duration of the Eastern conference Finals. No references on air to the brand and the websites will change effective midnight tonight. Obviously this is in response to the Cavs playing the Orlando "Magic" in the playoffs.
 
They would never get rid of that station! Their ratings aren't bad are they? Plus, they probably bill a lot no?
 
Yes, it's a stunt. The topic title is kind of misleading to people who don't live around here.

Cavs are playing Magic in the Eastern Finals. Majic 105.7 chnages name to Cavs 105.7 for the duration of finals so as not to reference the "Magic". Clever little stunt I say!
 
Lol duuuuuuh. My bad. For some reason when I hear a station's stunting, I just assume format change. Now, in honor of this little stunt, does Cavs 105.7 carry the Cavs when the Indians are playing at the same time?
 
I'm having a lot of fun with this stunt... hearing all the bleeps making it sound like they're cussing when really they're bleeping out that "m" word referring to that Orlando team... GO CAVS!!!!
 
The "Majic" left WMJI when all of the old airstaff left, the music took a wimpy approach, the reverb disappeared, and the on-air presenatation deterorated. (Oh, and they haven't had a PD since Meg Stevens left. This was the OM- Kevin Abrams' call.)

That might as well just change it now from "Majic 105.7" to "Crap,it's 105.7" because that's what people will be saying when L&M leave.
 
Well, when paired with WMVX, "Crap... it's 105.7" and "Damn... it's 106.5" would be a 'good' combo of forgettable stations.
 
Keep that up and we will also have sumbitch 99.5 :D
 
Acording to its website,Manigan/Malone and Action Jackson are still there.
The "majic 105.7" logo is still there,although just a bit tweaked.

The WIXY-1260 reunion from about twenty years ago was Majic at its best.

Read the thread from the beginning. The "Majic no more" refers to becoming "CAVS 105.7" for the playoffs. Majic is now back.

The WIXY Reunion from 1997 was the last one.
