Majic coming to C-Bus

I dont know if anyone else heard this or not but I was told that Saga and Clear Channel have been buddy buddy over the past few months. Working on strengthening eachothers clusters. Ironic that they own competing AC's, so this may not actually mean anything.... However, this is what I did hear.

106.7 to jump the oldies ship as Majic 106.7

107.9 to slip off into a AAA delirium as the new 107-9 THE DRIVE.

Of course this is all specualation.

Just want your thoughts and if anyone else has heard.

If you want to call "LiteFM" an AC.. I suspect if your right, this may be one of the reasons, LiteFM has been more of an gold/oldies station than a true AC (simular to sunny or other AC's across the country)

Why not, all sounds feasible to me. Sure, CC has suddenly decided to become pals with the company that has most vocally opposed its Columbus move-ins. And CC has decided to do a sudden about-face and start adding new traditional-style oldies outlets, starting right here in Columbus. And a station that commuters can barely receive downtown will become "The Drive". I hear these changes are all scheduled to become effective the day after President Bush announces his conversion to Democrat. Majic, indeed.<P ID="signature">______________

Well geez....You know I dont live in Columbus. I was just told by someone in the 2323 W. 5th Building that they heard it. I just figured I would pass it on. Thanks for the correction

No listener confusion? Just how many radio markets have both a "Magic" and a "Majik"? Could we start some plausible rumors please?

Like with "KISS" I would think CC could get the "Majic", or "Magic" moniker. WMJI as used it since the early 80's. CC could use that as precedent, even though it's for Cleveland. How else do they get away with ripping "KISS" from other stations?<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by bigwoody on 12/11/05 03:12 PM.</FONT></P>
