I was just watching Channel 12 and there was a commercial stating that Tram Mai and Matt Mauro will be the new 12 News Today anchors. In the Lin Sue thread, iHt mentioned that there was a FB post stating that Fay was moving the evenings. Is Doug Meehan going to EVB Live with a player to be named? Stay Tuned!

it is now official that Vanessa Ruiz is joining 12 News as the evening anchor at 5, 6, and 10:

2Son beat me to it - FTVLive is reporting Faye's contract is not being renewed this fall. If Faye finds work before then, KPNX will release her.
Years ago, maybe 10 years, when Kent Dana left for KPHO, I felt that Faye was sort of nipping at the heels of Lin Sue... to be the "lead female anchor." That was just my impression. But when a viewer is not that warm to an anchor, then you read the station is letting that person go, it does make you feel a little sad. I suppose that is the way the business works these days.

Lots of pluses for Faye joining Arizona's Family. Heather and Brandon could use a break during all those hours of anchoring. Faye knows the Valley well. She's a familiar face. Also her husband Tim Ring works there.
With her name recognition, I'd think Meredith would only put her on 3 at 4 or 9 PM, when they're not competing with themselves. Otherwise, my guess is that she'd go to 5.
