Heard thru the grapevine major stuff goin down at KMEL today... lineup changes, etc... waiting to hear more...

unfortunately, judging from the responses, racism is still alive and well.

Super Snake out at afternoons. No word on his replacement, yet.

"If he's out, he's still on the website, and they usually pull that stuff down pretty quickly.."

I wouldn't be so sure about that - I'm amazed at how sloppy some of the webmasters are at radio stations. For weeks after 99.7/KFRC became MOViN, you could still pull up the Dean and Cammy page. The old KFRC home page was down, obviosly, and there were no links from the MOViN website, but if you googled "Dean and Cammy" or "Sue Hall," you could still pull up their pages.

The Wolf had TicTak up on the website for quite a while after he'd been let go, too. Sometimes, it's just not a priority. Especially when a station doesn't want to make a firing public right away.

Is it racist to note that only Chuy and Super Snake on KMEL can speak a correct, proper sentence in English?

Is it racist to note and observe that not just one, and not just two of the KMEL air staff has "axed" a question in the last 2 weeks?

Is it racist to notice and note that other than those two personalities, a transcribed conversation with a listener would grade an F in any level class of English?

One can find racism in just about anything if you look hard enough. Why not look inward and ask yourself why is it OK to have people in the public eye unable to speak the language and perpetuating negative stereotypes?

Remember, knowledge is NOT power. The application of knowledge is power.

Thank you!!!! Finally someone who wants to hear a DJ actually use proper grammar!
