Major Clear Channel Cuts coming next week...

Clear Channel doesn't realize that their radio product is what goes out over the air. They seem to be concentrating on other outlets they own. They know they can get by with voice tracking at a very low cost without the listeners realizing it. But I think the listeners eventually figure out what's going on. It's their bottom line debt that's causing all this manuevering and eventually hurting the employees who keep losing their jobs.

The trades talk about a major cut next week or so, some of the PD and management postions have already been adjusted. CC, Tsm, Cumulus (who just fired a bunch of people), all of them care more about the dollar that the radio business

well bug radio business is finding ways to survive in this hard economy they rather make people part time no benefits then full time with benefits I think some day radio will only be part time because of everything digital and the computer does all the work all you need is a person too voice track for 2 hrs and that's it.

live radio is becoming the thing of the past it seems which sucks, hopefully things get better then get worse

Are they're any stations in the Hudson Valley area that CC owns that are being let go as of this week? I don't see this thing happening! I hope WCTW would love to see Bill Williams go soon. He has been a morning host for WZCR's "Cruisin' 93.5" and an afternoon host on "The Cat". I hope it should be replace by a "Premium Choice" network in future. I hope the future of CC Hudson Valley stations are going to have a letdown. What other people on any stations would get the ax. Maybe Chris Marino would leave "Star 93.3's" morning show to go back to "K104", CJ would leave WRWD's morning show, or maybe not. Let's hope they don't have to let go due to some cut backs.

I found an interesting article about it on this link:
