"MAJOR SHAKE UP" at WPRO-AM

So Yorke and Buddy lose an hour of their shows, do they lose compensation as well? Maybe not while they have contracts for four hours, but how about at renewal time? Who's happy in the long run? I would bet they won't screw with Buddy, but how about Dan?
 
Word has is that Andrew Gobeil has resigned at ABC 6.

If you remember when John was out over Christmas, Andrew and Tara (Current Executive Producer) hosted "The WPRO Morning News" together for a week. If that wasn't a test pilot then I don't know what is.

With that said, I wish WPRO would hire from within. Ron would be great on the mornings again, and if they want to go totally objective; go with Bill Haberman.

I will be upset if the hire from the outside.
And Dan has really gotten boned lately.

Anyhow, I hope things look like this:

First News with Bill Haberman 5-6 AM
The WPRO Morning News with Ron St. Pierre and Tara Granahan 6-9 AM
The John DePetro Show 9-Noon
The Dan Yorke Show Noon-3
The Buddy Cianci Show with (? He can't fly solo) 3-6 PM
The Matt Allen Show 6-9 PM

*WPRO really needs to think about how much longer Buddy will be around, he is going to be 70 in two months.
 
You must feel for Paul G. He has no balls what-so-ever! He is just an extension of Barbara and she's about as useless as two tits on a bore hog! He knows this is a terrible move. I don't believe for a minute that John has some national gig. . .pure BS. Who is Andrew Gobeil?

Andrew Gobeil was the weekend mornings anchor at ABC 6 and is a weekday reporter.
 
This sounds like a good change. I always thought DePetro was bogged down with the morning show and the constant traffic/weather/news/contests interruptions.

I won't miss the "lost" hour from the Cianci and York shows.
 
Doesn't it seem strange that they would be expanding payroll when the company is in play? I would think that moving Ron to mornings would be most cost effective. They can always expand the producer's roll on Buddy's show if he needs the help.

Too early for specific predictions but if Cumulus takes over I predict regimes will fall. They're not known for running stations that are great places to work. That would go for any station in the cluster. With talk you can at least attribute the ratings to the host. With the music stations outside of AM drive you can't and there's really no one outside of AM drive at any Citadel station that you can honestly say is pulling numbers because of him/herself.
