When Brian Blades first came to WROQ, I concidered his on-air delivery to be "very good", with a general knowledge of the music that he was paid to play. Years later, he would be terminated for a reason yet to be publically known. To me, Blades had gotten rather complacent, and with that same old "Burnt", redundant playlist, it would have happened to me, as well. I can easily
understand the day after day drag of the same songs. When "Stoneman" arrived, I concidered him to be one of the best that I had ever heard, with a high knowledge of the Classic Rock format.
Later, he would decline to where he simply sounded like Blades. The complacentcy had consummed them both. Now, after Blades' untimely ankling, "Stoney" is beginning to sound like his original self.
I don't count any of their Awww-ful part-timers...so "The Stoneman" is their sole air talent, struggling daily to...Make Chicken Salad Outta Chicken Manure!
