Making the move from radio to TV

Now that we know who's spent time in the majors, what about radio people who made the move to TV? I'm sure quite a few local TV personalities started in radio elsewhere, but what about local radio people who transitioned? Most will probably be news people, but Frank Colletta was a jock in the 70s in either Providence or the suburban music stations. Jeff Ryan once posted either a photo or link to one of R.J.Heim in his Hot Hits jock days. Mike Montecalvo is one of the more recent movers to the tube. Ron St Pierre spent some time doing weather & may have done sports. Meredith Vieira worked at WPRO. Any others?

> Any others?

Bob Bassett (deceased) from WHIM (1110) to WLKW (990) to WTEV (6) sports.

George Allen from WPEP (Taunton) to WLKW (990) to 6 and 12 (don't recall the order)

Wayne Bailey from WNBH (New Bedford) to WTEV (6) and then on to a short career in film distribution which led to.....

Truman Taylor (AKA Devil Dwarf) from WSAR to WTEV (6) news.

Jim Mendes (forgotten which Providence AM at first) to WJAR (920) to WJAR-TV (10) doing voice-overs but never on camera.

Jim Barnhorst (Chris Barnes) from WALE (1400, Fall River) to WJAR-TV (10) as color man for Chris Clarke.

Walter (Salty) Brine from WPRO radio to WPRO-TV/WPRI-TV with kids programming then back to mornings on WPRO.<P ID="signature">______________

Tara Granahan WKRI to WLNE

Does public access count? Does isoldmyhouse.com count? Guess not.

She also did news on WJAR 920 when they played music in the 70s, which sounds too long ago as it would mean she's probably 50-ish now. Also I forgot about sports guy Mike Gorman who worked at WPRO as part of the Salty morning show. The JB post brought Pam Watts to mind as she did news across the hall at WEAN.
