Malcolm McLaren (1946-2010)

I had no clue he did anything with dance,, wasnt he in Bow WOW WOW, or the Sex Pistols, one or the other?

McLaren was the manager/co-creator of The Sex Pistols and Bow Wow Wow.
 
So he really did dance as well... thats a shocker to me.... rest in peace buddy... :(
 
He didn't do dance music in the form of todays standard, but in the early 80's, tracks like "Buffalo Gals", "Hey DJ", and "She's Looking Like A Hobo" paved the way for DJ Culture. It was dance music for the Urban community. The above titles received club and mixshow support, and have all been sampled by Nenah Cherry, Mariah Carey, and many others. Roger Sanchez did a House remix of Buffalo Gals in the late 90's. I believe most DJ's can appreciate his work.
