Man arrested for death threats against syndicated host Ben Shapiro

A man in Washington State has been arrested for making what are described as
"very serious death threats" against syndicated talk show host Ben Shapiro and his family.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/ben-shapiro-death-threats-report

Doesn't seem to be a good time for Ben Shapiro right now, this year he got promoted i =r got to have a syndicated afternoon show that runs like for 2 hours, which may or may not include the podcast that he did to start it off., and now he has death theatres against6 him and his family. I bet Ben doesn't really snow for even care to know who this man is, but i bet his he is aware, which he should be, glad that he got arrested.

No kidding. Being stalked by kooks and angry nutjobs was always an occupational hazard for this gig.
But under current circumstances it has become downright dangeroud.

Which gives then good reason why they should never ever every, no matter the reason why, they give out their home address on the air, whether they broadcast from their home or not. You just never know when a dangerous person could be listening.

You just never know where plays and movies can get their inspiration from, and I have had the movie on my Netflix queue for a couple of years now, so I will some point soon have to watch the movie.

There is no doubt as to theBerg murder being the inspiration for this particular movie.

I am sure you are right, and I hope the murder got a very long if not the rest of their life to prison which he or she deserves

If you click on the link you'll see:

Two of them, David Lane and Bruce Pierce, were convicted on charges of civil rights violations, although neither was charged with homicide. They were sentenced to 190 years and 252 years in prison,

I'll check them up, but remember that Wikipedia is a public board, where anybody could go and write anything, and they don't check first, so what is written there might not be correct information.

Who would ever do this? Seriously.

There have been cases where the host accidentally blurted out his personal phone number
instead of the studio line, but who would ever give out their address on the air?

Obviously no one ever does this, but stalkers have their ways. That's how Alan Berg was killed 30 years ago. It's how Savage was attacked a few years ago.

Nobody would and I am pointing out that I ma sure nobody would even, even iwht as you can see that radio people can havre stalkers, that might even want them dead for some odd reason.

Stalkers can find out, but it must have ben how did the person know or know where to find where Alan Verg entered or existed his studio, or whoever he was when he was killed over 30 years ago.

I worked at a contemporary Christian radio station here in St. Louis back in the mid 90's and we received a bomb threat once. It came on Sunday morning, while broadcasting block religious/church programming. All of the employees were on high alert for the next day or so.

I have to imagine so, but this is sort of off topic

How is a bomb threat any different from any other kind of attack on a station, its staff or its philosophy?

I have been in a radio station when a Maoist terror organization bombed the lower floor of the building. I have had my own first station taken over by guerillas and the DJ on the air was severely beaten. I managed a station that had its transmitter site firebombed by Cuban pro-Castro agents. I've been threatened by soldiers of a dictatorship holding automatic weapons. And these are just a few examples of what a broadcaster can experience if they represent opinions or beliefs that others disagree with.

All these cases are on-topic: threats and attacks on stations or broadcasters themselves.
