Man Falls from KPFA Tower

I always wondered how do they change the red tower lights on radio stations towers? there too high for a cherry picker and it's a long climb up if you can even reach the top.

Riggers climb the tower, the same way they built it. Some of the ultra high (1000 feet or more) towers have elevators.

And, in this case, stupidity is even moreso.

I would imagine the climber fell to the left side of the kPFA tower.

Thanks for the video on station tower climbers....I had no idea it was done that way but I guess that's the only way it can be done.
