Man in Frisch's Big Boy commercials, mid-'90s

Who was this guy?

I'm talking about a series of commercials for Frisch's Big Boy around 1995-96. He wore a suit and talked to the viewer. His slogan was, "Big Boy starts with better stuff."

He sort of reminded me of Dick Van Patten, but one of his eyes was bigger than the other.
