Man it feels good to be right!!!

I haven't logged on here since my last posting, stating that Clear Channel will flip mulitple stations. Well I just wanted to let you know that all of that was true and has happened. [EDIT] Maybe you should listen to people because first, you don't know who they are and second sometimes you don't know everything. Thanks to all of you who doubted me!! Have a nice day! ;D

[EDIT--inflammatory.]

Speaking of F10 and beef and RTibbs (My brother???)

Well, did I even remotely suggest that there could be a repositioning musically on 96 several days ago? (meaning it would be still rock, not an all out flip to country, urban, etc.) and that a considered new morning show wasn't happening and I was called a liar and a prankster and told to listen to Whip? (Incidentially, what's up with him, now?) I also said that possible team preferred music like --- 99X ---to Classic Rock, didn't I? Funny how that manages to get pretty close to what happened musically on 96 more so than Elton John and ZZ Top. How many people on the inside at 96Rock knew or posted anything remotely close prior to copying the website update? I told you I had bits and pieces. While admitting that I was unsure on a lot of it on the front end, I wasn't making it up.

Am I still banished to losertown for not have been able to get 100% accurate info when I am not even in ya'lls backyard and yet no one had any hints on this posted here until the last 24 hours?

Tibbbs 2, Dick and Stone? You've never answered for that. Waiting, waiting....Just admit it was fantasy, a weak little game you like playing. Hide behind the anonymity of this board (we all do, guilty as charged) and make crackpot comments. Let's see, what else...oh, you called a music shift at 96 Rock. Sir, you are a genius. Who could've seen that coming? A: Everybody including the blind. Impressive Tibbs2. It looks like Whip fell on the sword that CC gave him to fight the evil 99X. Sucker. They bring all their jocks over except for the one that fought for the Buzz. What an idiot.

Thanks for the kind words taylorengineer :) I have just always loved radio, and 365 gives me the outlet to do it my way. My career path doesn't really allow me to get involved in radio any other way. 365 has its benefits and drawbacks, but they are good folks over there.

And lounge lizard, I understand your points, and I am sorry if you don't like my opinons, but I stick to them. Vultures will be flamed hehe

Beef - I am with you on that. I will be the first to cry foul on the concept of house cleaning with format changes, etc. Whip's been through enough greef prior to this week. Like I said, from my vantage point on this stuff, radio has gotten decidely dark and at an all time low especially just this week. It's not a good time to be trying to get into this industry for sure. The uncertainty is alarming and the fact that
great talent doesn't ensure a job tomorrow is as scary as it gets.

I haven't had a chance to look at all the posts, etc., but does anyone over 25 support the "Project???" Haven't seen much +++.

Eve, I didn't mean to imply that I think it's good what has happened in any way. I didn't get the move to this music when I heard it might happen. I guess I am a moron, etc, but I think most people are actually surprised, and did not expect that 96 evolved into this exact concept and music.

Ok, lets all hug and sing kumbaya hehe The sarcasm went over my head. I am too dense like that. And I do agree....Whip got hosed...big time. I have never cared for Clear Channel, and I fiercely do not agree with the mgmt decisions. But there is nothing I can do about that. Project is my taste in music, but I do not think I will be listening to it much.

I've found myself listening a couple of times this weekend to get a feel for what they're doing and I really like the mix of music. The problem is how CC has handled its consumers. I'm still too angry about what they've done to TRG and the whole Paco/Taco situation. If I do end up listening it'll be the very last station I check...and I find myself without my iPod or CDs.

Eve - I agree that Whip got hosed, along with English Nick and Jennifer Reed (among a few other good guys at 96rock). Could have 96rock been kept as an entity and the staff saved - if it were possible it would have already happened. The nature of the beast is to kill it off and let it be reborn. I for one like the clasic rock, but 96 became a joke in it's programming and it's public perception. The station was best known for South Side Steve and "yeah c'mon" - and he WASN'T even a regular part of the station for a long time!! The music was a predictable 5 songs, with Ozzy, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top leading the charge. I miss what 96 was, I miss the great brand that it was...

Will broadcasting the same sgnal on two stations work for CC-Atlanta? Will repositioning them as a harder, active rock station with a few classic songs mixed in bring out a larger audience sahre and better revenues? Nobody knows, but somebody had the cajones to pull the trigger and try it.

BTW - your station does look and sound great. Good luck and best to you.
