MANCOW IS BACK ON THE AIR IN CHICAGO.

I believe this is one of the predictions that Feder shared in his final column just last week. Boy, did he ever nail it!

Well, now.. where is Jerry Agar going? Or is he already gone? What's the scoop? (used to listen to him in Raleigh, NC at WPTF)

I understand what WLS wants to do but I can't take the guy. Too bad Kevin Matthews couldn't make it work.

It looks like Jerry Agar is leaving WLS. He still has some time left on his contract, which he will be paid for, but, he will
not be renewed after that.

Jerry Agar will do his 9AM- 11AM show tomorrow(friday the 24th). This will be his last weekday show.
Jerry will also be working on WLS on election night. As it looks now this will be his last time on WLS,
unless he fills in for someone else. His contract is not being renewed.

A younger verison of Rush? Oh great, that is just what radio and this country needs. More divisive hate speak from another right wing-nut.

100% agreed. The idea of a young Limbaugh and more hate-talk makes me gag.

At least he's getting the opportunity to do a final show.

Then again, it's not 9 AM (CT) on Friday yet, so that could change...

I too am glad that they at least let him tell his listener's what was happening and say goodbye on the air.
I know this happens ALL the time in this business, but, I feel bad for Jerry, I think he got a very raw deal in this.

This is the biggest disgrace for WLS since the Bob Kustra fiasco. It's even been hinted that Muller is PAYING to get back on the air in Chicago, just as he did to get on in LA (where he got canceled anyway).

May he fail miserably.

"hate speech" = you disagree with me
"rational dissension" = I disagree with you

...not nearly as raw a deal as Mike Malloy got from WLS eight years ago -- the station's best nighttime ratings were met with backstabbing emails from management to listeners because he had the "wrong" politics for the schedule...

Muller's syndicated show is not going to be on WLS--he is doing a completely local show for the station. Since he's renting space from WLS to do his syndicated show, he's either walking down the hall or staying in the same studio for the local gig.

I'll bet the sales team at 'LS is thrilled to have a "talent" advertisers won't go near. I'll also bet the 2 hours are commercial free. Post "wardrobe malfunction" 'cow is as worthless as t*!'s on a bull.

Like most good talk hosts Mancow has staged anger and overstated opinions but that's what this format calls for to succeed. Exaggeration and outrage. However the Cow I've been hearing in syndication isn't the Cow I knew in Chicago. He's been very dialed back in syndication as if to avoid missteps or risk loosing stations.

It will be interesting to see where he takes the local show, and what WLS will allow him to do. Is he going to stir the pot or be thoughtful. It's not like WLS is edgy.
