Mancow NOT going to Infinity...what does that mean to Cleveland?

So Robt. Feder of the Chicago Sun Times (think of him as a credible, thinking man's Roger Brown) says the deal to put Mancow on Infinity is dead.
When the possiblity of Mancow coming to Infinity for syndication in the midwest first presented itself, there was speculation on the board as to what it meant for Rover's syndication plans. Now that the deal is off, what do y'all think may happen?

Okay, that's an oxymoron right there. (sorry)

Don't know. And may not care - unless if Infinity fools everyone and make all affils run Gregorian chants in Howard's place for a week.

Oh, wait - that would be a Salem move. Nevermind.

Rest assured he wouldn't have shown up in Cleveland even if they had done a deal, as Infinity considers the town Rover's. And from what I understand, Infinity committed back in March to the stations it will give Rover when they re-signed the show, regardless of who else they put in other markets to fill Stern.

There would be more of a possibility of Mancow showing up on a CC station in town than an Infinity station, and that possibility is probably very remote as well.

An interesting sidenote: The push for Mancow is all hype. His ratings in his HOME market are pretty dismal (well below what Rover does here, which is why they wouldn't have put him on to cannibalize any audience), let alone the other stations he's on. And I believe the total number of stations he's on is 7, not 18 like he claims. On his website, they list stations that are supposed Mancow affiliats that haven't existed in over 5 years!

I always chuckle when I see "top-rated Chicago jock Mancow" in print...he's not #1 in ANY demo, not even close.
