That used to happen to me when I lived in Atlanta (Gwinnett County to be exact). Whenever I tuned in to 100.5 (Q100 at the time), I would get CB interference on headphone radios whenever I was outdoors. 100.5's signal wasn't very strong there and I-85 was in my backyard, so the truck traffic that came with it made for a lot of interference.
While on the subject of 970, they added the Paul Finebaum show from Alabama in the afternoons. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no local shows on 970 now (save the play-by-play for some local high school--Brandon maybe?), when, at one point, there were four local shows. Methinks 970 might've overplayed their hand by entering the already crowded Jackson sports radio format.
