I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Mancow did his "Morning Madhouse" in the early 90s on Wild 107 (KYLD - 107.7) , before he returned to Chicago. I enjoyed his show, but was surprised to see him some years later (mid 90s, probably)) as a pundit on Fox News or CNN - can't remember which. I was surprised - because he had never impressed me as a guy who had the political background or gravitas to be a pundit.
Mancow famously pulled some lame stunt that resulted in the Bay Bridge (from San Francisco to Oakland) being gridlocked and shut down for a couple of hours. Some years after he left the Bay Area, a half-million dollar fine from the State of California was levied against the radio station - by then owned by Clear Channel, who had to pay up. I found that amusing.
