Meaning that he might be picking up former wayward Imus crowd. That might not show in the book if the numbers were collected before the famous incident.

First of all -

Concerning Don Imus: THERE WAS A CLAUSE IN HIS CONTRACT WHERE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE TRUE SHOCK JOCK. CBS WANTED RISKY COMMENTS. IT IS IN HIS CONTRACT, NOT TO MENTION,THERE WAS A ONE BITE RULE WHERE HE WAS TO GET ONE WARNING, IF HE DID GO TO FAR. INSTEAD,THEY JUST FIRED HIM. CBS GOT IT ALL WRONG - AGAIN!


Second of all -

The firing of Don Imus was complete and total bunk, kind of like this "War on Terror" that the "selected" president wanted the unsuspecting public to believe (and some actually did, from what I've heard). Imus in the morning was the best thing going on in the a.m. Look at what is on now. I enjoyed imus and the gang for years,and really miss them. This country is in bad shape when a racist like Al Sharpton can create such a frenzy over racial remarks. Too bad he isn't doing the same for the celebrities of his race. Sharpton is a white hater,and has been ever since he was spat upon by the whites at all the rallies he attended as a young man.In his heart he swore that some day he would make whitey pay,and he did. In sharpton's mind, bringing a white man down is a dream come true. Well,brother man, you just opened up a can of worms that will swarm all over you. We have a saying. don't let your alligator mouth overload your mockingbird ass. Anyway,enough of you. Mr. imus, I wish you all the best,as does most of the country, and hope to see you back. God bless you.

MANCOW? Get real... He's an idiot radio personality who recently described himself and Bill O'Reilly (another fool) as " good white cells" on the radio and who also recently described a caller as " a brain dead fetus" and a " late term abortion that somehow climbed out of a dumpster" according to an article in the New York Times, 5/6/07. It's easy to see who his core audience was....

Don Imus was fired for calling the Rutgers University basketball team "nappy headed hos". Sure, that was inappropriate, but did the punishment fit the crime?

Maybe we should look at the two guys who pushed this issue until Imus was fired.

Jesse Jackson says it's a question of morality, and what's right and what's wrong.

I'm glad we have someone with strong moral values like Jesse Jackson to make sure nobody makes racist jokes on radio stations!

And who can forget Al Sharpton, another strong moral figure who knows the
power of words:

After District Attorney Steven Pagones failed to prosecute white suspects for raping a black girl (because evidence showed the story was fabricated) Al Sharpton accused Pagones Himself of raping the girl. Pagones successfully sued him for Defamation. Right

But it gets better: Imus Calling Black Women "nappy headed hos": Wrong.

In 1995, Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the plans of Freddy's Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned clothing store, to expand into a black neighborhood. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Three months later, an armed protester forcibly entered the store and burned it down, killing himself and seven others. Right

Thanks Jesse and Al for showing us what's right and wrong. I'm glad we can finally see the light now. I'm glad you two stopped this guy, and all his charities for sick and homeless children, that will now dry up.

This whole station schedule is stupid, stupid, stupid.

Ed Schultz (live) gone; replaced with Alan Colmes' late night show from the day before.
Sally Jesse Raphael back from the 80s.
Doug Stephan's morning show in afternoon drive.

It sounds like this station runs shows based on who pays to play.
Westwood was known to pay stations to clear Imus.
Maybe these others do, too.
Why replace a popular liberal talk show host and a live show with an unpopular delayed show? If not money?
Why replace a popular although controversial female advice show with somebody from 20 years ago trying for a comeback? If not money?

I agree 100%, and haven't listened to the Jolt since the demise of Imus in the Morning except
for an occasional John C. Scott segment. But looking at the program lineup on the Jolt's website, it looks like Scott's 3-5pm show was canned too!
