Hysterical too considering that Dave Wellington asked Denis Leary when he called in to the station to promote something if he would consider doing mornings at BCn when Howard was gone:
A. Like he would have a say in who did mornings at that station
B. Like a guy with a hit TV series that he was already making millions from would say "yeah Ill do mornings for this local station"
C. WEllington had no clue that Leary was already in bed (so to speak) with WAAF.
I have to disagree with you though, the spot itself is not bad for what it is, and for what it's trying to promote.......You know the old saying you cant make caviar out of fish eggs, well they're definately working with fish eggs here. I actually thought WAAF did better with their TV spots than most people gave them credit for, the one a few years ago with the kung fu movie clips was THE BOMB, genius, period. IT almost eclipsed the many years of the spots with the bimbo in the heavy metal spandex dress and high heels talking about how great the station was, then a year later when the Seattle ruled the world they re cut the spot with the exact same woman wearing a flannel shirt and ripped jeans,.........Hysterical!.
