Mapleton starting to pick up in Chico

New life seems to be coming up at Mapleton Chico

-KALF is now 95.7 The Wolf, don't know if they have any local jocks
-KFM now has a local afternoon guy
-I think the new 96.7 has local guys now, but I'm not sure
-Any developments at Now 107.5?

Ratings come out at the end of the month, I'll have a full report than

107.5 (and 107.9 since North Chico cannot hear 107.5) added a lone traffic report @450PM, paired with the newish giggly teenybopper anchorwoman from ACTIONnews (NBC/CBS/CW) giving a breathy 60-second preview of the evening news. Sorta funny to hear the distant traffic person discuss the occasional "car hits a tree" or "tractor stalled". Or mistakenly give Sacramento traffic ("all's clear on the 80 and Cap City Expressway").

Morning TV personality Rob Blair does a decent hosting job in the 2-7PM, better than I expected. Lots and lots of ads, often clocking in at 5-6 minutes at a time. Not a fan of the music mix, but they are targeting the 15-35 demo, so I am about a decade too geezer.

Was a big fan of the Modern/Hot AC of (the old) The Point. Sure, the automation sucked, but they were virtually commercial free and I could (and did) listen all day. Now I find myself bouncing between 92.7 Bob and 106.7 Z-Rock during my daily hourlong commute.
