Marantz PMD661 stops recording after 10 minutes

We have a 3 to 4 month old Marantz PMD661 flash recorder that rather consistently stops recording after exactly 10 minutes. We have the Auto Power Off (default at 15 minutes) disabled on Preset-1 (yes, realizing the issue isn't a power off, but stops recording). I say rather consistently because it has recorded past 10 minutes after loading/storing Preset-1. Don't think I should have to reload a preset each time

Card has plenty of space. We are only on Track 35 (99 is the limit). Newsman gets frustrated at long council meetings when it stops.

Any users of this particular deck have this trouble?

I have a question to Denon/Marantz support, but thought I'd share here.

The unit is a good step up from the 660, bit smaller, better speaker, nice display.

tnx,
gw

Oh man, sorry for this useless post, but I do remember hearing of this before. I think we had those Marantz flash-decks when I worked at Entercom and they had that problem. The good news is that I think I was able to fix it, but the bad news I don't remember what the fix was. Sorry, it was like 5 years ago now... =-/

The Marantzes are notoriously picky about what brand of card they'll accept. Have you tried another card? Anecdotally, I've heard from several people who've had good luck with Sandisk cards; YMMV.
