Marc Martinez is filling in today for Troy on the 6 pm and 10 pm Newscasts. It is great to see him on the show and I've always wondered why they don't take more advantage of Linda and Mark when weekday anchors are on vacation. Normally it is John or Kari filling in for the 6 and 10 pm newscasts. Wish they would use these two more during the week when main anchors are out. Maybe they want to be on reporting duties during the week? Just not sure. I know that Linda Williams has been there a long time and has had a variety of roles at Channel 10, I believe she has worked mornings, weekday evenings, and weekends correct me if I am wrong.

I agree, musicfan, Linda and Marc are sorely underutilized at Fox 10. Linda has been there since the early 80's. Honestly, I'd like to see more of them and also weekend meteorologist Jayme King -- he's also a very good forecaster -- one of the few who actually explains what's going on from a weather perspective.

Troy is filling in for the vacationing Rick D'Amico on the Morning Show this week.
 
They had Dan Spindle the other night.

Jayme King is probably their chief met — he has a seal, while Munsey doesn't. (The weather intro introduces Jayme King as a meteorologist; it does not for Dave Munsey.)

Hi landtuna;

Thanks for catching my error. I should have also stated; to anchors filling in on the morning show. I have said this before that Troy is a great addition, even as just a fill-in on the morning show. He has great chemistry with the co-hosts. It has been pointed out to me that Troy is one of the main evening/nighttime anchors at FOX 10 and that it would probably not happen or be very unlikely that Troy would move to morning.

Yeah, somehow I don't see Troy moving from a decent pm schedule to the awful am hours. Seriously, I don't know how the early am anchors get up in the middle of the night. In my college days, I had a summer job where I had to get up at 3:30am six days a week -- it was no picnic!

And, actually, Linda and Marc's weekend schedule isn't too bad. They do get one weekend night (Friday) free to have fun and don't have to be at work until Saturday afternoon.
 
Happy July 4th fellow Phoenix TV Radio Board Members.

Caught Linda Williams filling in tonight on the 5 and 9 p.m. newscasts at KSAZ. So wonderful to have her filling in for Keri Lake. She and John have great chemistry anchoring together. Not sure if she was working the holiday to give Keri a day off but as I stated she did good. She is an asset to Channel 10. I watched an old clip, courtesy of YouTube, of the two as weekend anchors.
