marc young returning to kedj in july

This is good news he had that station sounding good in 04 till riviera bought it and fired him ??? Well as you know the more things change the more they stay the same! I wish him well and look forward to it.

That is really good news for the Edge, he was certainly someone that had the Edge going in the right direction. Sorta weird to work for the same company that fired you though......

WOW... I wonder if he can repair the damage that the "Market Manager" has done to that station. Good luck Marc...

Not exactly the same company anymore, though. Riviera exists only technically, until their former lenders rework the wreck of the old company into something new over the next few months.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like he's only being brought back as a caretaker until re-organization is complete. But, then again, I s'pose that's the sitch everyone at the Edge is in just now, with no definite future foreseeable beyond b/c...

Wow. A radio station admitting they made a mistake? Marc was put into a tough situation when he came to the Edge as the Music Director/PM Drive guy, and then was thrust into the PD role. He made it work, and gave KEDJ the highest ratings in station history...and was unceremoniously shown the door. Oops!

After the Kevin Mannion/Bruce St. James eras, Edge management finally realizes they dropped the ball...so all they're doing is rewinding their sound about 4 years. Imagine where they'd be if they didn't let Marc go in the first place?

Happy for Marc...he's a true professional, but this situation might be even messier than the first one he inherited at KEDJ.

Oh, and who designed that new EDGE logo? Eesh. I especially love the "one-0-three-9" worked into the logo.
