March 1, 2007. Important Date for San Francisco Radio!!!

Everyone, Mark March 1 on your calender. That is the day both KTRB-860 starts their new format and also when Entercom officially takes over the reigns of KMAX-95.7, KOIT-96.5 and KDFC-102.1 from Bonneville. Don't expect anything to change on that day, though after reading PD Bill Leuth interview, expect him to get grilled by the new management.

Also the day something MAY happen to 1260 AM, unless Bonneville finds a buyer soon. I wonder if Bonneville would be able to continue to simulcast 96.5 when it will be under DIFFERENT OWNERSHIP. One possibility is if Bonneville still wants to sell 1260, they may stunt something there (like what KTRB is currently doing) until they do find an owner.

FLASH 1260 has already been sold, Bruce and our friends at Bonneville are keeping it very quite. A group of us have been dealing w/ Bonneville for sometime now be I and my other partner/ investors felt 14 mil was a little steep!!!

For The Bay Area Im hoping we get Back 1260KYA, on March 1st!! At this point I would say the New Owner of These Legendary call Letters, should do Oldies, no more talk radio, please, Who ever had the "Deep Pockets" to buy this station, Accept no one less than The Following, to make KYA 1260 worth listening to, John Mack Flanagan, Chris Edwards, ( The Chris Edwards) who was there in 1968!!!!, Bobby Ocean, and Lee "baby Simms, for the news ,Vicki Liviakis !!! If you could get her away from KRON!! Kenny in Concord

According to Inside Radio, Dwight Walker, former GM of KNBR-680/KTCT-1050/KFFG-97.7/KFOG-104.5/KSAN-107.7 during the Susquahanna years has been named the new GM of Entercom's new cluster of KMAX-95.7/KOIT-96.5/KDFC-102.1.Also Deborah Kane, Regional VP of Entercom says that they'll soon be announcing an LMA with Bonneville for KOIT-FM, KDFC and KMAX.

They can't keep it quiet too long as something will have to give on 1260 when Entercom takes over its simulcast partner, KOIT-FM 96.5.
