1956: Actress Dana Delany (China Beach, Desperate Housewives) is born in New York City.
1974: The Execution of Private Slovik airs on NBC. A made for television film, it tells the story of Pvt. Eddie Slovik, the only American soldier to be executed for desertion since the American Civil War.
1979: The Ropers, spun-off from Three’s Company, premieres on ABC.
1992: PTL Club founders Jim and Tammy Bakker divorce.
2006: The New Adventures of Old Christine debuts on CBS.
2006: Game show host Peter Tomarken (Press Your Luck) dies, aged 63, in Santa Monica, California when the plane he is piloting (a Beechcraft Bonanza A36) crashes a few hundred feet offshore during climb-out from the Santa Monica Airport.
2007: The final original episode of Stargate SG-1 airs on SciFi.
