March 1st Snow Coverage

So all week the models on all 4 of our local news stations have said everything from sunny, to rain, to snow for today. Well, of course you know the hype Severe Weather Team 2 has been all over this one since Wednesday. Channel 2 Action News has been on the air live all morning since I got home around 5am Sunday morning. The funny thing is its now 11:00am and the snow hasn't even switched over yet in metro ATL and they are finally going off the air for ABC News This week, but they'll be back at noon. They're calling it "STORM WATCH 2009." When it comes to weather, Channel 2 be on it and I must say there models seems to be accurate as far as timing.

The rain just switched over to snow in my neighborhood (Hapeville). The snow flakes are some of the fattest I've seen in my life! Pretty cool stuff. But "Storm Watch 2009" this ain't. I know we live in the south, but that doesn't mean we've never had snow before. Now 1993 was a whole different matter...
