I agree wholeheartedly -- WABE should send AM750 a thank you note for becoming such a stagnant pond of radio.

My only wish would be that WABE increase the local coverage a bit and have a little less of the national feed. Don't know if that's possible, since All Things Considered and Morning Edition seem to have quite a fan base -- but sometimes I just don't care about Hippopotami in Zimbabwe.

In just under 10 years, Salem has built the second highest cume Christian music station in the country right here in Atlanta. They tend too run most of their stations on the super cheap but they have allowed the Atlanta Fish to do what was necessary to build up something special. I would take it the AM sister stations have basically no investment.

I know the nationwide multi-station K-Love network has more listeners but as a single station only the Dallas heritage Christian AC with nearly a million cume each week beats the Fish. I wonder how much higher the audience would be if Salem had a pure full market signal here and if J did not exist. I had hoped that lincoln financial would have sold off 94.1 since they had wanted out of radio and that the Fish would have moved there but that ain't happening.

How did Fish do in female 25-54 compared to B98 and Star? Daypart rankings?

Maybe, just maybe, the listeners are sick of all the negative talk on conservative radio? "Obama is taking our rights away from us. He's a socialist. Health care is evil. We pay too much in taxes." Yada Yada Yada. I think listeners are tired of it and want something new. If the AM talkers can't offer solutions; listeners will continue to walk away.

Agreed, even if you agree with what's being said, it's all rant and no solutions. No one wants to hear a crying baby while your having dinner either.

At least on the radio you can change the station.
