March numbers are here

March numbers: Houston/Galveston

TU stations are back in the ratings, Cumulus still missing.

93Q still doubles The Bull.

Bit of a drop for KSBJ.

Eagle flies higher.

KUHF almost to the fives.

K-Love and Air1 picking up a few more listeners.

Mega back to the twos.

Estereo Latino getting some attention.

Still nice to see three HD-only signals show up in the book, two of them with a 0.5. Some people know what an HD radio is and how to use one.

fierro must be doing something right.

Could we see Estéreo Latino on 104.9 soon?
I don’t think there would be any change on 104.9 until there is a permanent solution to the current aux site situation for both KAMA and KLTN. See my post #411 on the “Houston area radio notes” thread.

TU might also want to get a better idea of the future of competitor Mega 101. Mega seems to be recovering from its recent swoon, but should it dip again we could wake up one morning to find SportsTalk on 101.1. Displaced Mega listeners would head to 104.9.

93.3 it’s still a rimshot here in Houston. KAMA has a better coverage in Houston metro. But yes, a simulcast.
so removing a format completely, simply to simulcast and it only improves the signal on the west side of houston, thats just doesnt seem like an idea. its like when TU removed the old Que Buena 93.3 to simulcast 104.9, that idea was done because someone decided that Que Buena 93.3 was moving listeners away from the old Estereo Latino 102.9. That was pretty dumb. I guess this idea came from the former morning show host.

The eagle did it. They moved OLDIES 106.9 to HD2.
