March PPM Numbers 6+

BOB #1 (wait a minute, WRRK is #1)
DVE #2 (finally the number matches what DVE's air signal smells like, if RF had a scent)
3WS #3 (distant 3rd and heading home to All Oldies, All The time....is it to early to go Christmas??)
KDKA-AM #4 (This just in Dewey lost the election, Titanic did sink, and so did KDKA-AM
WKST #5 (they mustn't be Beliebers)
WDSY #6 (I guess it needs more cow-bell)
WBZZ #7 (I remember when it was B-94 or is it B-100.7? who knows, and if you look at their numbers, who cares.)

Actually, I'm just kidding with all of these stations, I worked for them all except 100.7, 107.9 and 1020.

I just want to see some action on here

I don't believe 96.9 has ever been #1 in the market before, not even when Y97 gave away $100,000
in 1982. Congratulations to them.

KDKA, WDVE, and WWSW are still doing well, but WPGB appears to be in free-fall. And although the
numbers for non-subscribers are not listed, this month I suspect WBGG actually lost in the ratings to
Frankie Day.

Warning- this is going to be a post stating that what is wrong with radio is that it does not conform to my own personal tastes.

I will present unscientific evidence to support my claims, and basically act as if every radio station in the market should cater to me and me alone.

Now, ahem:

I have to say that BOB and WDVE are playing more '80s stuff nowadays.

Just as I suggested be done for years.

Furthermore, the songs tend not to be snoozers but often times lively. At least when I tune in.

That is all.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I think the only thing standing between Clear Channel and a massive reorganization of the market is the end of hockey season.

On further review, this is one of those months where the 6+ numbers don't paint an accurate picture at all.

DVE had a very good month in persons 25-54 and men 25-54, #1 in both, and in men they lead the X (#2) by 5 points. Between DVE, X, and 3WS, CC has a 29-share in men. The Fan is #3.

Steel City does very well in women 25-54, with Bob #1 and LTJ #3.

On the other hand 104.7 is out of the top 10 persons 25-54, trailing even #10 KDKA. Quinn and Rose are the only thing saving it right now.
