Maria Boynton

I'm truly such a fan of All New 106.7 I hate to bring up anything negative, but the past several weeks I've listened overnight to Ms Boynton.

I'm not impressed.

There's something about her delivery that is stilted -- like em-PHA-sis on the wrong sy-LAB-ble. Sometimes it gets "sing-song." Know that midnight to 5 AM is not a prime time slot, but if she is going to move into the daylight, she needs some coaching.

Content is fine; the writers are doing a great job; just the delivery is less than what pleases me. And I emphasize this is just me. But would be interested in hearing some other feedback.

Also, has anyone else noticed the very tight way they're integrating the sound bites in the teasers? Either those things are pre-recorded, or there are some super fast board operators and audio editors working there. Impresses the fool out of me. You don't hear that on WCBS or WBBM. Really steps up the pace of the programming.

To each his own. I worked with Maria way back when radio was cool. She is a pro. She has worked in Columbus, Ga. New York City, CNN Radio, Georgia News Network etc. At every stop along the way, she has more than proven that she's up to the task.
