Maria Stephanos leaving Fox25, last day Fri Sept 11th

It will be interesting to see who replaces Maria. Also, I've heard no announcement on who is joining Heather Hegedus tomorrow morning as co-anchor of the Fox 25 Weekend Morning News. Has anyone?
 
It will be more interesting to see where Maria ends up. She's a name, a brand, I could see any of the Boston stations shaking things up and bringing her on. Would she have to sit out a non-compete clause?
 
My understanding is that non-compete clauses are illegal for broadcasters in Massachusetts. Right of first refusal clauses ARE allowed, which is what forced Howie Carr to return to Entercom's WRKO when he wanted to bolt for Greater Media's WTKK. Maria's severance package with Cox might have a non-disparagement clause which prevents her from spilling the beans as to why she left FOX 25 in such a hurry. I have a feeling we'll see her back on Boston TV in the very near future.

I just have a gut feeling that she will end up teamed up with David Wade on WBZ-TV. David and Maria were a team at Fox. Fox has had great ratings. Why not resurrect the team?
