Marie Pulled from Fall Schedules

"Marie will not go forward due to the difficult economic conditions... stations had steadily been pulling their offers over the last couple of weeks..."

Translation: She will be replaced most likely by infomercials.

"He's a little bit Slap Chop... She's a little bit Orange Glo..."

Didn't knew she was still at it for the talk show thing, it doesn't matter now. :p

Oh wel, at least there's more ShamWow informercials to fill the empty spot.Either that...or Wendy Williams if she not's taken. :D

Add: Don't believe this lazy 'economy' excuse. There must something deeper to this.

Are they really "scrambling?" Cause it just seems like they all default to "insert infomercial" when ANYTHING happens lately.

Does Wendy Williams pay to air her show?
Cause I tried watching, I like watching Elizabeth and that dude saying each other's names 100 times and talking about the Shark steam mops better.

Who is Marie in this case?

Osmond.
I think the Osmonds now outrank Tim Conway in failed tv programming ventures, between Donny's Pyramid failure, to the joint talk show, to this show, etc. Hey Tim, "Does your license plate still say "13 weeks"?

The Osmonds are a victim of "sea change" moreso than a "poor economy" and if Tim Conway were to decide to get back into TV in this day and age, sadly it would be the same thing. They are just too old for many viewers. Nah..if somebody wants to do a game show or talk show..rather than getting an Osmond, they should really try to get someone like Fred Durst ( Limp Bizkit fame ) or somebody who was big say 10 years ago to host. Not somebody whose heyday was from the 70's. My wife was telling me about some cruise that took place recently that was hosted by the band New Kids on the Block which BTW tickets sold out quite fast..and of course just about everyone who went on that trip were women below the age of 40 and that is demo many advertisers want. Hey if a daytime talk/vaieity show wants to reach that demo..get The New Kids on the Block or even the Backstreet Boys to host...not Donnie & Marie or Donnie or Marie. ;D

I think I'd rather watch Marie any day over Dr. OZ. I know she's old, but I've got to say she looks hot since she lost those last 10 pounds. BTW, The Wendy Williams Show is horrible. True, all you see are those huge boobs (which is intentional), but what a boring, silly show

Sounds like Wendy would be a perfect fit for Fox News.

Nah she's not at all attractive. Probably not a good newsreader even.

Except of course for the invonvenient matter that the last version of Pyramid was getting decent ratings and was pulled not for bad ratings but because Sony wanted to put the major focus on its Pat Croce show. In hindsight, not their best decision as it pulled far lower numbers than Pyramid.

Their concerts packed the arenas they performed in, as well.

Plus, I don't think she's a blonde...

Not me. Dr. Oz will be useful. Someone who can help You improve your life. Marie wouldn't have helped anyone improve anything. Not even ratings.

I'd guess Dr. Oz got fast-tracked for his own show based on the moderate success of the Doctors. Not because he will be "useful". (The Doctors got old after about a week for me)

More likely because it is a Harpo Production than anything.

You mean the way "Dr." Phil has improved our lives so much? I've never been a big fan of Marie Osmond, but if she could put on a pleasant show, without all the drama, sexual exploitation, and silly rumors that most talk shows rely on on, I'd watch...
