WXXC/WMRI/WCJC/WBAT/WZWZ/WMYK/WIOU all sold by Mid-America to Vox Communications. No price named and I know nothing else at this time.
 
Wow. Wonder if that means Mid-America wants to focus more on the Bloomington/Indianapolis area.
 
Why would Citadel unload a couple of 50,000 watt cash cows? BTW, I didn't see the sale application on file. When did this go down?
 
This will be great for these stations. While MidAmerica was great operators, VOX understands localism and will keep these stations strong and growing. Honestly, look for them to swap out a few once Citadel unloads their three properties in Indiana. I know, they are cash cows...why would Citadel want to get rid of them? Barely any national dollars, and it doesnt fit their new platform.
