Mark and Mack on Sunny 103

M&M's debut on 103.3 was discussed in a previous thread (http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,59267.0.html).

Out of respect for Mark's reply, I've been listening off-and-on for a week. Sounds like the guys are nicely on-track. Thoughts:

(Alabama-centric show) Nicely handled. The guys are honest and direct that they are out of BHM, and often mention that the show is sent to BR. Area code is mentioned all the time (careful how fast you blow through it, our ac is 225). Thanks to them for not doing the voice-track game of "it's a great morning here in [automation inserts name of local town]". Please.

(Content, religious and otherwise) Main content is basic morning show / secular stuff: find something and talk about it. No problem with that, and I notice a lack of "put your cellphone in the toilet and flush it" stunts. If I want to hear that, I'll listen to Stern via some trucker's FM adapter bleeding out over 88.1. As for religious content, again the guys are honest that they do some ministry. Good for them. I like the way they let the callers say to what charity they would donate prize money.

(Levels). My guess is that 103 clips their audio so aggressively based on what sound profile they want for their music. That's fine, but I sure wish they would dial it back during the all-voice morning show. It's really rough on the ears.

So, they're off-and-flying. My guess is that since the guys are basically a two-station network right now, we'll see them here in BR for some visits. OK, paid remotes :) Bring some Dreamland, we'll swap for 'bugs.
