Just heard on KIIM that Mark Bateman is retiring on Friday. Apparently he's leaving KIIM but going to still do traffic on KOLD.

Best of luck to ya Mark...it's been fun listening!
 
So will this mean the return of Johnny Collins
or do they just un-split middays back into
one longer shift?

I knew Mark several years ago when I was a part-timer at KCUB. Really great guy, and I hope he is doing well. Johnny Collins is also a great guy. I heard that he was working at KOLT in Flagstaff. Is he still there?
 
Apparently Bateman owns a couple of businesses. A pool cleaning place and some media duplication thing.

He is a knowledgeable and classy sounding jock. He also does morning traffic on channel 13. And does (did) both well.

He will be missed.
