Mark Beiro Out of WFLA

Listening online tonight and caught announcement at 9pm, that tonight is his last show. He said they will probably replace him with an encore presentation of hannity or someone like that. Let's hope it's more than just a rerun, let's pray local and live.

Last I listened to him several months ago, he was having serious health issues.

He sounded kind of upset that this was to be his last show.

He told a caller that "more program consolidation" is coming and rightly blamed it on corporate consolidation of radio. Some callers agreed, though that wasn't the topic of last night's show.

Too bad his show is being driven off the radio.

Damn Shame. Biero is good people. Even thought I wasn't into the politics all the time, he brought it. EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT. Old school West Tampa.

FLA sucks. I haven't listened, regularly, to them since Lassiter left.

You have the morning show that has been there forever. Though they are nice people, the show is awful.
Later, you have Glenn- his show is the only one that is entertaining.
Rush - Bleccch - Known liar, druggie, goes to show what you get from a Jr. college dropout.

Man, when I used to listen to him, Mark did a show that was just flat-out entertaining. Not spectacular, not grounbreaking or especially different... Just a good show that sounded local because it WAS local, and hosted by a guy that sounded like he was really, really enjoying himself. Good luck our hero.

It was a rerun last night. I tuned in to listen to some liberal talk radio and instead listened to him talk about how much he loved Jim Croce. No wonder he got canned.

Probably just a comment sparked by what a listener brought up.

So what?

Croce was a popular singer who was another of many who died too young in a plane crash (he's still popular according to so-called "oldies" radio that can't stop playing songs of that era).

Biero sounded great. It's disappointing there isn't anything local on in that time slot now.

I tuned in tonight and what did I hear? A Schnitt rerun. As if we don't have enough of that kind of talk..
