WPDH (101.5 FM) morning host Mark Cooper will be off the air indefinitely following a "sudden, serious illness" he suffered Friday, according to his wife, Nona Cooper.
Cooper is expected to recover, but like his return to the air on the Poughkeepsie based radio station, there is no time frame, his wife said. Upon hospitalization, Cooper was admitted to the intensive care unit. He has since been transferred to a progressive care unit. Physical rehabilitation will follow, along with rehabilitation at home, Nona Cooper said.
No further details were available. Nona Cooper said she has received hundreds of phone calls and text messages offering well wishes for a strong recovery
