A few of us made the rounds in South Florida radio. For me it was WAXY-WFTL-WGBS-WQAM-WGMA-K-102-WRMF-WNGS. If you wanted to work you could always find a job without moving a great distance. Some people like Mark Denver found themselves right back at the station they started at with a new staff.
Not to bring up any unpleasantness but does anyone know what happened to Keith Miller? I had worked with him at WQAM, and although he was a bit of a hot dog, he was very nice to me and left very excitedly for a spot on Y-100. For some reason he didn't last long, I never found out why.

It's rather interesting that the same thing happens within Spanish language radio as well.
Over the years, I worked, in one way or another, for WQBA, WHTT, WCMQ, WSUA, Radio Martí, WAMR, WQBA (a second time), and then the cluster of WAMR/WRTO/WQBA/WAQI. Nearly everyone I know on the programming side has worked for 3 or 4 stations and 5 or 6 owners!
I think I've actually worked at about 20 stations... so far!! LOL!

Sadly there are fewer stations/clusters to work for now and lets face it, when most of us pass 45, our on air days are numbered.
I never thought that I would leave radio, it's all I ever wanted to do. I should have planned for the "after the DJ years" but as the song says: "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end"...
Thankfully I found there is life after radio but that's where my heart will always be!

Mark, didn't you work as PD of one of the top40 stations here in Charlotte? Come on back, Beasley just bought the CBS stations which includes top 40 Kiss-95.1.
